3 Avenues for Manifesting Hot, Dreamy Mojo.

That is the optimal creative vantage point: to stand on the brink of what is coming, feeling eager, optimistic anticipation — with no feeling of impatience, doubt, or unworthiness hindering the receiving of it — that is the Science of Deliberate Creation at its best.” ~ Esther and Jerry Hicks, Ask And It Is Given

Manifest. It’s the hot, brand-spanking-new term that has become all the rage at a Spiritual Self-Help bookstore near you.

Instant, subsequent associations include ideas such as The Law of Attraction and Ask-Believe-Receive; popular self-help books such as Rhonda Byrne’s The Secret and Esther and Jerry Hicks’ Ask and It Is Given inspire individuals to create the life of their dreams.

To my New Age and artistic friends, we’ve essentially come to adopt manifest as a word that means the following: whatever that heart of yours is hungrily, excitedly — even fearfully — yearning after, you can achieve it. You can live it. You can taste it.

And by gosh, is it delicious!

Human beings are masterful creators. There, I said it. Some may shake their heads, while others will ponder and meditate on that seemingly mysterious statement. A rare few, however — and by a rare few, I mean all of us Rebelles — will understand intuitively that this is an undeniable truth.

We’ve always been creating: pristine paintings, musical masterpieces, delectable dishes, and even other humans. Whatever our minds, hands, and souls intentionally shape and mold, they create orgasmic, explosive points of contact. And the spark of that electric orgasm bears new life and new possibility for us to become the Divine Artists of Our Lives.

Except sometimes, it doesn’t feel like that new life is happening at all.

Admittedly, when I first started out consciously working with The Law of Attraction and synchronous Universal energies, part of me hoped that everything would work out my way. Note the key words: My Way. Yeah, right. As if I could micro-manage the Universe according to my specifications; I have enough trouble organizing myself! It would seem rather paradoxical for me to believe in the expansive, limitless resources of the Universe while simultaneously limiting a fabulous outcome through my own myopic means!

The manifesting process works; it’s just that when it hasn’t worked out the way I expected, it’s because I’ve gotten in my own way. Talk about a personal revelation.

I can only speak for what’s worked for me in the past, so whether you have one, many, or no manifestation methods, there’s no right or wrong way. Chances are that, on an intuitive level, you already know what needs to be done to score that dream job, attract the lover of your dreams, or attain any other expansive desire. But — just in case — here are three more avenues for bridging the manifestation gap from your magnificent mind to physical reality.

1.Get excited, even if you have to fake it a bit.

Whenever you really, really, Really want something and it comes true, what’s your typical emotional reaction? Excitement. It feels really freakin’ cool when all of your inner work with intentions, meditations, and vision boards actually starts delivering dreams to your doorstep.

But what if you could bypass the delivery process a little bit by just choosing to feel the excitement, joy, and lightness of heart that comes with your deepest desires? After all, it’s really those wonderful little (and big) feelings that we’re chasing after. I promise you that you’re not pretending when you’re imagining what it feels like to have what you want already. In fact, it’s the only way to be open to receiving it! Imagination is a magical thing, whether you’re five or ninety-five, and it works every time.

2.Plan it by the stars.

Speaking of stars, there’s a reason why astrology is so huge in the spiritual realm. Divine Timing, as many call it, is happening around us all the time. Just think: all of the planets, moons, stars, and asteroids are whizzing at crazy speeds, and they affect us in kind. Perhaps it’s time to get your natal chart done or read up on the Astro-Weather Forecast for the year so you can see what to expect from the cosmos.

Interestingly enough, New Moon and Full Moon rituals are awesome times for doing manifestation work. While the moon may control the tides, this celestial body has wild sway over our emotional state of being. The general rule of thumb is to set new intentions and goals during a New Moon ceremony and reap the fruitful harvest at the Full Moon. Additional results can appear up to two weeks after the Full Moon, so milk it while you can. Bonus if you can get your friends involved, because group manifestation work at New and Full Moon ceremonies is Super powerful.

3. Get by with a little help from your friends.

In Julia Cameron’s book The Artist’s Way, she asserts that, “We are meant to midwife dreams for one another… Success occurs in clusters.” We can make each other’s dreams come true, if we want to and if we’re willing to surrender our limiting egos for expansive spirits.

It takes all kinds of people, from all walks of life, to make things happen while we’re on our life journey. We can all contribute our best qualities so that whatever one lacks, another will have. Just look at Dorothy’s motley crew: a brainless scarecrow, a heartless tin-man, and a cowardly lion (plus her beloved Toto) all managed just fine on their trip down the Yellow Brick Road. And, in the end, they all received exactly what they were looking for from the Wizard.

Whatever you’re strongly called to manifest, just know that it’s coming. It’s on its way to the sheer brilliance and beauty that is within your being. Just keep calling out and keep your eye fixed on the prize.

You’ll get it, one way or the other.
