Freeing The Soul Inside, Embracing My Power To Rise.

After long years of people-pleasing (and endless tears at failing), I’m finally freeing my inner self.
Stepping out is scary. Letting go of the people-pleasing ways and navigating the road less traveled. People exit along the way, some who you believed would be standing by your side forever. You might wonder, “WTF am I doing? Am I gonna be all alone? Did I just make the biggest mistake of my life?”
Then you hear the hum of your heart as it begins to sing. And you think, “F*ck it. This is ‘my life’. And I am living it!” You realize you are exactly where you need to be.
And your skin soaks in the rays of sun, even on the rainiest of days. Your inner light guides the way to greater fulfillment, through the fog of uncertainty and fear.
The transition comes in waves and layers, a twisting road with unexpected turns, and at times you are unsure whether your direction is forging forward or reeling backwards.
The layers begin to unravel, slowly and steadily, revealing more of your heart, releasing what’s no longer serving you.
You’ve never experienced anything like it before. The pain that resides deep inside is pulled out, kicking and screaming, begging to remain at your core unnoticed as its insidious effects on your existence continue to hold you back, down, and under its invisible weight.
Still clinging to the remnants of the past, you reluctantly release at last. Splinters from shattered dreams scatter by the wayside. Only scars from what once was remain.
Vast space is left in the wake of its departure. The road ahead is elusive, uncertain and unsettled. The hollowness echoes, and you almost yearn for the familiarity of the feeling of misery. Unsure what shedding the skin of suffering will create.
You sit with the emptiness. The silence fills your being, creating space for your soul to speak its truth.
At first a whisper, then a hum, a buzz, then louder, until it becomes the roar of the warrior — your true being.
And change happens. Without effort. Without pushing the pedal of pressure to the limit. Without doing, doing, doing.
You experience the magic of being, being, being.
And life, with its ups and downs, its triumphs and tragedies, its pains and pleasures… feels much more… perfect.
Here’s to following our hearts and our joy and being fully f*cking authentic.
And fully experiencing free-dom.
Here’s to loving ourselves, from the inside out.
Here’s to being our biggest fan instead of our worst enemy.
Here’s to showing up for ourselves, supporting our soul’s desires.
Here’s to turning down the judgment and turning up the joy.
Here’s to realizing the power of cooperation over competition (with self and others).
Here’s to acknowledging love in lieu of hate.
Here’s to pleasing that person looking back at us in the mirror.
And opening up to the magic that surrounds us and is within us.
Dive in to the grief. Dance with your demons. Release the relentless struggle. Embrace the emptiness. Free your inner self. Unleash the magic. Make love to the miracles.
The time has come for you to stand in your power.
The time has come to rise.
