I Am Not Afraid to Love You. {poetry}

 

They say that you love someone when you can’t imagine your life without them, when their walking away feels like cutting off a part of your body.

Am I too afraid to love so deeply?

Am I scared that love will take my power and identity away?

Am I so afraid to lose my beloved that I have always preferred to hold back, not risk and remain stuck in false, plastic situations?

I am tired of cheaply patching my love void with superficial smiles and empty hugs,

Dry lovemaking that doesn’t even know what respect and admiration are.

I want to love the deepest I can.

I want to know the whole of you, raw, just as you are.

I want to tell you my story from the beginning, all I haven’t told anyone before.

I want you to know nothing but the bare truth about me.

I want you to hear my loud laughter and dry the rivers of tears flowing from my eyes.

I want you to know me better than I do know myself.

I want you to be my mirror, show me my beauty and my darkness.

I want you to hold me tight and let me fly free.

I want to look into your eyes and see your soul, read your dreams, feel your hopes and destroy your fears.

I want to give it all to you with no escape or backup plan.

I want to let go of thinking and just feel, feel you in all my tissues, in the deepest of my being.

I want to listen to your bad singing and I want it to bring me to tears.

I want to seek the smell of your skin, the touch of your hands.

I want to melt in your arms and lose my being in the moment.

I want you to make me a better person showing me who I am.

I want your thought to keep me awake at night and give me the sweetest dreams.

I want to breathe in you.

I want to see my own shortcomings in yours.

I want us to smile in the same, real way.

I want to see my happiness in your eyes.

I want your kiss to dissolve time and space, and become the sweetest melody I’ve ever heard.

Hold me in your arms, I’m yours.

I don’t want to be afraid to love anymore, I want to become one with you.

I can love you like I’ve never have before

Because you deserve it and I do too.

And it’s going to be magic, trust me.

Look at me in the eyes and let yourself go.

It’s a trip full of beauty, it’s a tale we write from our hearts.

Let me love you like no one else has ever done before.

Let me get naked and show you my true self.

I want it all and I want it real, mind-blowing.

I am not afraid to love you.
