Art and the Fertility Awareness Method: Creating a Positive Impact on Women’s Health.

A diurnal practice, whatever form it takes, can bring great insight into the nature of change, the cyclical existence we live within as women, as living beings, as part of life.

As a parent, you frequently see four seasons in one moment or expression, let alone a day, a week, a year, and so with art, every day the outcome is so different. If in one day, multiple pieces of art are made around the same subject or idea, there will be multi-layered meaning and insight. No two moments are the same.

Even if life seems to be quite predictable from day to day, it is far from that. Literally moving through a continuous flow, evolving, revolving, opening, closing, living, dying. Never ever the same. It is our work to bring clarity to the nature of change, and therein allow the body to ignite its own innate capacity for healing.

Women can start by healing connection to their feminine anatomy, regaining and remembering strong roots in nature. Find your own rhythm and way of being, no need to look to someone else to tell you. Proceed by listening deeply, observing. Listen again.

Discipline.

Never give up.

Bring in, invite a new continuum, self-tailor your life. You can do it. Make it happen coming ever more into harmony again with nature.

However you come to fertility awareness, to body awareness, be it through art or any other means, stick with it.

The fertility awareness method is for anyone taking each woman deep into embodiment, into the heart of direct experience, and therein great learning. Some may like to cycle with the moon, some may be strictly scientific, some soft, some hard, each to their own, that is the beauty of it.

Each pathway is unique, and so is each body, each journey. Nature teaches us there is strength in diversity, so let’s celebrate diversity in all cultures, inside and outside of the body.

As science emerges as an extensive culture of reading that we find today, let’s give deeper meaning to those words and understand we can craft our own language of understanding, making communication and literacy an art which is responsive to our needs, pains, loves, lives.

The fertility awareness method encourages sovereignty and self-confidence in matters of the body, and every woman has the right to this, and so does every man, every baby, and all sentient beings. Why has this been forgotten?

Ask the right questions, and don’t just blindly follow the general belief systems prevalent in society, schools, homes even, and let’s share the good, facing the internal conflicts with character, resilience and adaptability. Everyone has their struggles.

All the wisdom you need, you can find in nature. What comes into your life to teach you? Recognize that. Get right into that.

Rediscover old passions, talents, gifts and shine a light there again. Go deeper, wider, higher, always with perspective, and maintain the bigger picture.

Changing the language

It is time to change the language, even down to the menstrual cycle, by focusing on that part we forget, that it’s actually more about reproducing and fertility.

Let’s encourage women to start this younger, earlier in life. Really have self-respect and self-knowledge and understanding, really feel a part of nature from conception, and on and on.

Heal the broken continuum.

Face birth trauma.

Embody conception, pregnancy, birth, motherhood.

Recognize the ability to face those great transformations because you know your body so well already. Home-birth will increase as women already have that ever deepening confidence in the wisdom of the body.

We will see the great wisdom available during pregnancy, coming out of the mind and into the body, resonate with women. Going into labor and birth with that deep and profound sense of calm, ease, knowledge, wisdom, ability, evolution, creation, all of it.

Mothers will be able to really be there for babies through pregnancy, through birth, and early motherhood.

Really there to ease adjustment to life on earth and all the challenges it brings to individuals today.

By knowing the body, we can recognize easily what it needs and how that changes with pregnancy, birth, postpartum and breastfeeding. With this kind of practice and innate knowledge of the body, the benefits of breastfeeding are so obvious there is little need to promote it, no words to talk one’s way out of it. Both the body and the baby know it.

Fertility awareness can lead to great change within the individual and therein the new life that comes forth. I need to see this information out there, with the young ones who already know without knowing.

To encourage total embodiment, finding ease and grace of movement within all aspects of life, leading to less need for outside procedures and pharmaceuticals.

Tuning into plant medicine, trusting in those senses beyond the senses. Opening up to the worlds of communication beyond words.

Starting with art, leading on deeper and deeper, taking less yet gaining more by doing so.

This is the starting point, the leap, then just let go, free-fall, and ride the waves.

All of life is learning. Then suddenly there is no need for school. Each to find their own unique way. Can happen. Will happen. Is happening.

The fertility cycle is a vital indicator of health in men and women. Let’s get right into that. What is going on with your body? Practising FAM can lead to closer connections with your partner and an awareness of the very real differences between men and women. Cut out the crap, and connect.

It is time to create a new language and symbology for the self through art and innate art practices.

Great growth and transformation is available within each fertility cycle, just as we see with the seasons and greater cycles and circadian rhythms of life.

By truly knowing your cycle, you can engage with every stage of life and begin to build systems that really work in your life. Everyone needs systems.

So, let’s inspire, connect, grow, change, gaining insight, wisdom and a deeper connection to nature.

Build empathy, gratitude, love and maintain it like your life depends on it.

Rest. Breathe.

The fertility cycle is the gift of life and an honor bestowed on each of us, let’s live up to it the best that we can and always aspire to level up, for a better future is possible and we owe it to our children.

Kate Bavister writes about the fertility cycle, pregnancy, birth and motherhood by incorporating nature, art and science to enhance understanding of the embodied experience with respect to peak health, conscious living and the feminine journey of cyclical existence. Beth uses intuitive art to connect deeply with the rhythms of the body, enabling deep trust to develop so she can look within for the answers she needs. Her work focuses on the fertility cycle as a key indicator to overall health, to encourage a deep exploration of our inseparable connection to nature, igniting the innate capabilities and potential to live a truly authentic and fulfilled life. She invites readers to take action in their own journey of growth, healing and empowerment by recognizing and celebrating the transformative capacities available to every woman no matter what cycle or stage of life, reaching out to the women and communities around them.
