Bohemian Horoscopes: July 2019.
Aries (March 21-April 20)
Your energy levels receive a welcome boost as your ruler Mars transits through fellow fire sign Leo. So it’s a good month to be motivated, challenged, inspired, creative and super social. But many Rams will also feel extra feisty and in the mood to fight back as retrograde Mercury connects with Mars on July 8-9. However, hasty words and impulsive actions will just land you in a heap of hot water, so resist the temptation to be argumentative and antagonize others.
Taurus (April 21-May 21)
Venus and the solar eclipse (on July 2) urge you to find enjoyable new ways to connect with those around you, especially in your local community. You also need to get talking with loved ones and sort out any problems ASAP, before Mercury reverses through your domestic and communication zones from July 7-31. Extra dollops of diplomacy and kindness are required. So your mantra is from your fellow birthday great, the Dalai Lama, “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
Gemini (May 22-June 21)
Your ruler Mercury goes retro from July 7-31. Mercury is the planet of clear thinking, communication, travel, commerce, computers, media and the internet. So (when it’s reversing) it’s not a suitable time to sign contracts, start a job or business, buy a phone, computer or car, launch a website, install new software, or embark on a big holiday or business trip. If you can’t avoid doing these things, then expect delays, disruptions, mix-ups or misunderstandings.
Cancer (June 22-July 23)
The solar eclipse in Cancer (on July 2) is a fabulous time to rejuvenate your physical appearance, update your wardrobe, or kick-start a personal project. The lunar eclipse lights up your relationship zone (on July 16) when a problem with a loved one could come to a head. Then Mercury reverses through your sign (from July 19-31) when your momentum seems to stall or even go backwards. So patience and perseverance are the keys to cruising through July.
Leo (July 24-August 23)
Mighty Mars powers through your sign in July, so you have a need for speed and spontaneous adventures. However, retrograde Mercury will throw a spanner in the works and slow everything down (especially from July 7-18). If you let impatience get the better of you, then it’s going to be a long, frustrating and drama-filled July. So your mantra for the month is from writer Barbara Johnson, “Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears.”
Virgo (August 24-September 23)
Expect communication chaos as Mercury is in retrograde mode from July 7-31. So make sure you back up your computer files, allow plenty of time to get to appointments and catch flights, re-check everything, and be incredibly adaptable. And there’s no room for negative self-talk. Mercury might be retro for most of the month, but you can still have fun and get a lot done as long as you are patient. It’s actually the perfect time to research, rehearse, reboot, reschedule and revisit.
Libra (September 24-October 23)
The month starts with Venus and the solar eclipse stimulating your professional zone, so you need to create new work opportunities that you really enjoy. If you’re looking for employment, the early bird catches the worm. Your diplomatic skills will be called on around July 8-9, when friends or colleagues get into a feisty argument. Just make sure you don’t get caught in the crossfire. Home is where the heart is in mid-July, when you spend time catching up with family.
Scorpio (October 24-November 22)
Scorpios love to approach life with a strategic plan and a relentlessly forward trajectory. But with Mercury in retrograde mode (from July 7-31) the gas will be taken out of your tank and your preferred pace will be temporarily curtailed (especially at work). A holiday or business trip could also be delayed or even canceled. So what can you do? Smart Scorpions will think more creatively, plan more patiently, and double-check all appointment times and travel plans.
Sagittarius (November 23-December 21)
Have you been talking about paying off debt or saving for something special — like a car, holiday or home deposit? This month the eclipses stimulate your finance zones, so you need to put your money where your mouth is and take firm action. Courtesy of Mercury retrograde, an educational matter, foreign friendship, business trip or vacation could veer off in a confusing direction. So keep your adaptability muscles well-flexed and take things one logical step at a time.
Capricorn (December 22-January 20)
The solar eclipse (on July 2) provides an opportunity to resuscitate a tired old romance, or navigate an exciting new one. Then the lunar eclipse lights up your sign on July 16, which will boost your conscientious Capricorn nature. When it comes to a joint money matter or a shared business venture, are you being overconfident? In order to avoid messy problems, make sure your financial plans are based on a realistic appraisal of the people and circumstances involved.
Aquarius (January 21-February 19)
With Mercury reversing through your relationship zone from July 7-18, you’ll need to be extra careful in the way you communicate with family and close friends, otherwise your words will be misinterpreted and your motives misunderstood. And don’t expect to feel wildly social in mid-July, when the lunar eclipse activates your privacy and solitude zone. So put aside some special me time when you can concentrate on the three R’s: rest, relaxation and renewal.
Pisces (February 20-March 20)
Are you feeling bored and uninspired? The solar eclipse (on July 2) urges you to take up a challenging hobby or add an untapped creative talent to your Piscean repertoire. And the lunar eclipse (on July 16) encourages you to write a long wish list of your hopes and dreams for the future. You can’t hit a bull’s-eye if you don’t have one. You’ll experience long-term success and satisfaction through exploring and participating in the world around you, both in person and online.
