My invisible disability has slowly
erased my social identity and
I can hate you for your narcissism
or lack of compassion
but I don’t have the energy

Isn’t that exactly what marriage is? A binding contract between two people (traditionally a heterosexual couple with the purpose of procreation) wrought with expectation and impending disappointment and heartbreak.
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.
Cremate me. Use my ashes as fertilizer or throw them off a mountain top, whatever. Give my things away. You do not need them.
